Chapter - 3 : Woh Wahi Thi

"Uth Jaa kumbhkaran, kitna soyegi ?", a loud voice echoed between my ears.

(Get up you kumbhkaran, how much will you sleep ?).

"Aree yaarr bus thodi der aur", I replied while pulling the duvet over me.

(Just a few minutes more).

"Nahin yaarr uth ab chal", someone said and this time he pulled my hand to make me sit on my bed.

(No way, get up now).

"Bhai aap !", I replied frowned at his action.

(Bro !).

"Chal ab jaake ready hoja ! Hospital ki opening ceremony hain", he said with a teasing smile on his face.

(Now go and get ready, because today's our hospital's opening ceremony).

I just looked at him in disbelief.

"Aise kon uthata hain yarr", i muttered under my breath.

(This is the way you wake up others ?).

Then I got up and went to do my morning routine.

I went to my wardrobe, and grabbed a traditional fit, beautifully embroidered with stones and gems over it. Then I styled it with a pendant, small earrings, a bindi, kohl in eyes and with jutti (traditional footwear).

I did natural makeup and glanced at my look for the last time.

I went downstairs and saw everyone was waiting for me for breakfast.

"Morning everyone", I said and sat on the chair.

The servant served us.

"Jaldi nashta karlo, phir nikalna hain hume", he said and everybody nodded.

(Do fast, then we have to leave).

After everything was done, we all went to our mansion.

"Thak gyi hun main bhot", I said while closing the car's door.

(I'm tired).

"Abhi se ?", bhai said, taking the gift bags from my hand.

Then we went inside.

I went into my room just to check my look for the last one time.

I went to my wardrobe to keep my other clothes in it, and then I found a pair of anklets.

"Let me wear this", I said, and put that pair on my ankle.

Loud chatter can be heard from downstairs, and I know that they must have arrived.

It's 4 am in the morning and I was in my gym room, doing exercises. I spent almost 3 hours here and now I was going towards - my room.

"Morning bhai", my sis greeted me.

"Morning", I said keeping the calm expression.

"Suno around 12 o'clock ready ho jana, dad keh rhe the", she said while giving me a towel.

Ohh, i just forgot that today we have to go out, I completely forgot about it.

Now how can I give her earring back to her ?, I thought.

After a few seconds -

"Yeah I know", I replied.

I came into my room and quickly freshened up.

I picked a white formal shirt, cream pants and a cream coat over it.

I keep it simple because attention is not a thing I want to grab. I put on a watch and combed my hair but it was a little messy.

Then I went downstairs.

"Morning dad, morning mom", I said, sitting on the table.

"Very Morning", they greeted me back.

We did our breakfast.

"Shreyansh suno", dad said, coming towards me.

(Shreyansh listen).

"Yes dad", I replied, checking my phone.

"Jaaker market se bouquet aur kuch sweets lete aao", he said and I nodded.

(Brought some sweets and a bouquet from the market).

In frustration, I opened the car door and drove it.

"Yarr kya kismat hain meri !", I said to myself frowned at what happened today.

(Ohh, what a day it is).

"I just want to see her once again, but", with that I banged on the starring wheel.

"I even fitted a voice transmitter just to listen to her but....", I said.

"Maine kabhi kissi ke liye aisa nahin kiya, but for her I did ", i said.

(I never did this for anyone, but for her I did).

"Hamesha mere saath hi aisa hota hain", I said to myself and this time I banged on my forehead.

But now nothing can happen, then I buy sweets and a bouquet of lily flowers.

I drove back home.

After an hour everyone was ready to go.

I was in my car, waiting for my family to come.

I don't feel like going but I've to.

After half an hour we reached there.

They all were standing at the entrance in honour to welcome us.

"I missed you", my dad said to his friend while hugging.

"Awww me too", he replied.

Then we went inside.

I was sitting with them, my gaze lowered as I don't have anything to do in their conversation.

Not focusing on them all my focus was on that earring.

I still have it in my pocket.

Someone was walking downstairs, as the sound of anklets can be heard.

I looked in the direction, and found myself staring at her.

She was the one whom I wanted to meet

But like this, I would never know.

Our eyes met and it feels like the time has stopped.

The chatters faded away, the faces blurred. The only thing I could see was her. I don't want to ruin this moment.

She was confused, including me too.

She was looking perfect, the traditional wear, dupatta over it, simply designed with simple jewellery.

Loose strands of hair that was falling on her face, looks perfect - ngl I would die for.

The moment was incredibly beautiful.

Until someone interrupted.

"Ishu, he's my best friend and his family", her dad said and she greeted us.

I couldn't help but stare at her.

Don't know that my destiny could lead me here - like this.

A little pink shade spread across her face and she lowered her gaze, I could feel the same. As something rose inside my heart.

"Cute...", I muttered under my breath.

Avoiding the eye contact I lowered my eyes.

She went into the kitchen with Trisha, and I was with Raghav bhai.

"I've to attend an important call", he said, I nodded.

I saw her, she was standing near the balcony. Gradually there was no one.

It was the perfect time to give it back to her.

But how will I convince her to wear it everyday ?

I knocked at the door.

She looked at me and nodded.

"Hello....", I said, standing beside her.

"Hii...", she replied with a smile.

"Uss din meri help karne ke liye thank you", she said, looking at me.

(Thank you for helping me on that day).

"It's okay", I replied completely lost in her. She passed a soft smile

"Waise yeh aapka hain ?", I asked - showing her the earring.

(Is this yours ?).

"Yes....", she replied.

"Yeh aapke pass kaise ?", she asked, her eyebrows frowned in confusion.

(How did you get it ?).

"Woh uss din aap chali gyi thi tou yeh wahi gir gaya tha", I replied, give it back to her.

(That day you left, and it fell there).

"Again thanks a lot", she replied.

"Please wear it everyday", I said.

"May I ask why ?", she asked.

"It looks good on you", I replied while looking down.

A chuckle escaped from her mouth.

"I'll", she replied.

"Waise woh lily bouquet aap laye the ?", she asked and I nodded.

(Did you bring that lily bouquet?).

"You like lilies ?", I asked and she nodded.

"I love them", she replied.

I looked at her, and she was looking freaking pretty. Sunlight falls on her face making it more radiant. Her honey brown eyes shine brightly.

I looked down - a sigh escaped from my mouth.

"Bhai, dii aapko neeche bula rahe hain", Trisha said standing near the door.

(Bhai, dii They are calling you down).

"Hum aa rahe hain", she said.

(We are coming).

Then we walked, I was behind her.

author - abhi se gulaam banane ko taiyaar hain 😅

Shreyansh - shut up and leave me alone.

author - okay 🥲

"Aa jao khana kha lo", aunty said and we sat opposite each other.

"Finally I convinced her to wear that earring everyday", I thought this while eating.

A small smile spread over my face.

"Bhai kya soch rhe ho ?", trisha asked in a low voice, making sure that it will only be audible to me. She says in a teasing smile.

(Bhai what are you thinking ?).

"Shut up and eat", I said, raising my one eyebrow.

"Kya chal raha hain tum dono ka ?", mom said.

(What's going on between you both ?).

"Nahin kuch nahin", she replied.

(Nothing).

And the whole table sought laughter.

It was 5 o'clock in the evening and those 5 hours seemed like 5 minutes to me.

"Acha ab hum chalte hain", dad said.

(Okay, now we're leaving).

"Thodi der aur ruk jate", uncle said.

(Let's wait a little longer).

"Areyy.... Hospital bhi sambhalna hota hain, phir kabhi....", dad said.

(Areyy.... The hospital also has to be managed, then sometime...).

And he nodded.

We are leaving and my heart says this much earlier ?

But we have to.

I glanced at her from the car's window and she was giving a good bye to Trisha.

I smiled at her caring gesture.

Everyone sat and I started the car.

I again glanced at her from the car's mirror, my heart skipped for a moment, when I saw her eyes in it.

"Haseen hain yeh", I muttered under my breath.

(This is beautiful).

This meeting felt different as I didn't expect this all to be happened.

All I could say, khubsurat tou hain woh.

(She is beautiful).
